What do I do now...

• Report the damage to your insurance company.

Fire Damage

After a fire it may be necessary for the home to be boarded up and a temporary covering put over the roof.
Be aware the property may be structurally unsafe to enter

Storm Damage

It may be necessary to weather proof and secure the property as well.

Water Damage

Keep in mind that many companies say that they are qualified in water damage restoration yet do not possess the appropriate training or equipment.

If safe to do so, locate the source of the water and turn off any supply valves to stop the flow of water.
Remember, water is an excellent conductor of electricity, and the risk of shock is imminent.
Always shut off the power if there is no risk.
Keep a listing of anything you have discarded and receipts for any expenses you incur in protecting your property.
